Prince Harry will receive an “icy reception” at the Coronation next month before quickly leaving after the ceremony, Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has claimed.
Mr Burrell was extremely close to the Prince’s mother and has been called “Diana’s Rock”. He predicted there would be no reconciliation between the Duke and his family at Westminster Abbey.
Although Mr Burrell believes King Charles will be “delighted” to have both of his sons witness the Coronation he thinks Prince Harry’s not going to “hang around”.
“Let’s face it, he’s pushed his family under the bus and he doesn’t want to spend much time around them. So I don’t think there is any chance of a reconciliation anytime soon,” Mr Burrell said on GB News.
He added: “I honestly think he’s going to get a very icy reception from the Windsors in Westminster Abbey. He’s going to be sitting ten rows back, he’s not even going to see his brother or his father during that time. He will be, literally, in and out in a flash.”

Other royal commentators agreed that reconciliation between Harry and his father and brother was unlikely, partly due to reports that the Prince would spend barely 24 hours in the UK before returning to California.
Speaking on King Charles and Harry having phone conversations, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk: “In some form, it could be [reconciliation], but Harry, according to reports, isn’t going to be over long enough to say much to anybody, not that they would necessarily trust him after Spare.”
Relations between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals have reached new lows following the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare and the release of a Netflix docu-series with the Duke and Duchess.
Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare levelled a series of allegations at the Royal Family, including that he and his brother Prince William had a physical confrontation.
Still, in interviews surrounding Spare, Prince Harry claimed he wanted to reconcile with his father and his brother. Reports that Harry had spoken with the King on the phone were seen by some as the first step in that process.
Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, will not attend the Coronation and instead will stay in California with their two children Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana.
Around 2,000 guests will attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey and Coronation events will take place throughout the weekend of May 6.
