Harry and William 'won't exchange word' at Coronation as relationship 'on its knees'

Prince Harry and Prince William “won’t exchange a word” at King Charles III’s Coronation next month as the relationship between them is now “on its knees”, a commentator has claimed. Tensions between the once-close Royal Family brothers are believed to have hit rock bottom following several claims made by Harry against William and his wife Kate, Princess of Wales in his tell-all memoir, Spare. Harry and William will come face-to-face for the first time since those revelations at the start of this year at the Coronation of their father King Charles III at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6.

But with Harry only expected to make a flying visit in order to return home to California for the birthday party of his son Prince Archie, one commentator has speculated the two brothers may not speak to each other at all.

News Corp Columnist Angela Mollard told ‘The Royal Report’ show on Sky News Australia: “The fact is that apparently this relationship [between Harry and William] is worse than we think.

“It’s just on its knees, the relationship between William and Harry.

“There is a lot of thought about how they will be positioned at Westminster Abbey during the Coronation.

“I don’t think we’ll see them sitting next to each other. In fact, I don’t think they will exchange a word over that day.”

Harry will reportedly look to return home to California soon after the Coronation, with the fourth birthday of his son Archie also falling on the same day.

But Ms Mollard said: “He won’t get back to Los Angeles until 7pm and that is ludicrous.”

The News Corp columnist went onto claim Harry “criticised his brother in all the most personal areas of his life” in his memoir, to the point where there may never be a reconciliation between the two brothers.

He believes the prince could receive a “very icy reception from the Windsors” and “will be sitting ten rows back” at the ceremony and may not even see William or Charles.

Mr Burrell told GB News Dan Wootton: “It is not a surprise. He is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door.

“His father will be delighted that both his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around.”

Princess Diana’s former butler continued: “He doesn’t want to spend much time around them. There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon, I’m afraid.”

Earlier this month, Harry ended weeks of speculation after it was confirmed he would attend the Coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

But Buckingham Palace also announced his wife Meghan Markle would remain at home in California with the couple’s two young children – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Archie’s fourth birthday falls on the same day as the Coronation, and it is thought the Duchess of Sussex is planning a birthday party for the youngster that could take place on the Sunday so Harry would be able to make it home in time from the Coronation.
