Harry and Meghan's long list of bizarre requests to ensure visit went off without a glitch

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a long list of bizarre requests to ensure their high-profile visit to New York City in 2021 for their Netflix documentary went off without a glitch.

The pair requested cushions, a new carpet and outdoor space for their filming at a public school in one of the city’s low-income areas, according to emails obtained by the Daily Mail.

The couple released their docuseries in December 2022, with the visit taking place the previous year.

The items, such as the cushions, were said to have bought in to better fit with Meghan’s aesthetic.

The emails also showed that Archewell staff had say in which school the couple visited and also went through multiple edits of the press release to ensure that the vsiit sounded “more substantial”.

The press list for their events during the trip, which took place over three days, were also tightly controlled and restrcied to publications close to Meghan – with British tabloids banned.
