Harry and Meghan 'are fully supportive of each other' as 'separation rumours' addressed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still very much a couple and will always be “supportive” of each other, according to a source, as they admit there will always be “speculation” around their endeavours.

Since they stepped down as working royals in 2020 and relocated to California, the Sussexes have been working to carve out their own independent lives, supporting themselves through multi-million dollar deals with entertainment platforms like Netflix and Spotify.

They had some initial success with their documentary series Harry & Meghan, which dropped on Netflix late last year, although their partnership with Spotify fell through in the summer as they announced the end of Meghan’s podcast series Archetypes.

However they are now reportedly pursuing their own career paths, as Harry’s series Heart of Invictus was released on August 30 and Meghan is rumoured to be launching her own lifestyle brand, similar to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.

This does not spell the end of their personal relationship, an inside source has said, as the couple prepare to put on a united front at next week’s Invictus Games in Germany.

They told The Telegraph: “If you introduce a couple together and the world knows them together, and then they find themselves in a situation where they need to find their own projects and their own identity, there is going to be a lot of speculation.

“But on top of being a couple, they are both working on their own things. They are fully supportive of each other’s concepts and ideas, but they are different from one another, they have different meanings. Everybody understands that they’re not just going to stand still.”

Harry and Meghan will next appear together at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, which are being held from September 9-16.

The source elaborated on the couple’s stance on their former royal lives, as they claimed the Sussexes are “done” with life in the Firm.

When asked if there was potential for a reconciliation, they said: “They’re not talking about family. There’s no expectation that the family’s going to show up or acknowledge it or that anybody wants to see him. It’s over.”

Before going to Germany Harry will make a brief stopover in London to attend the WellChild Awards, although Meghan will not be joining him there.

Sources had speculated that Harry may use the opportunity to make contact with King Charles and Prince William, as relations in the family have been strained since Harry’s move to the US.

However a friend of William’s has said the Prince is not yet ready to be reconciled with his brother, as he was hurt by claims made by Harry in his memoir Spare.

In the book Harry accused William of physically attacking him during an argument, of being rude about Meghan and has commented on how he is bringing up his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
