Israeli troops claim to have the leader of the terrorist group Hamas surrounded in a bunker, as they also claim to have seized one of the group’s military strongholds today.
According to an Israel Defence Forces commander, the IDF is ‘fighting in the heart of Gaza city’. Major General Yaron Finkelman added: “At the heart of terrorism.”
The Sun reports that IDF forces have Yahya Sinwar, dubbed ‘Gaza’s Bin Laden’ trapped, as forces carry out raids inside Gaza city. Troops have branded him a ‘dead man walking’.
A spokesperon for the military Richard Hecht, suggested that the encircling troops could be making raids inside the city, despite there being no indicaiton on the ground that Israeli forces had moved en masse into Gaza City.
