Gwyneth Paltrow wins symbolic $1 as actress found not liable in ski crash trial

The famed actress and wellness guru was found not liable in her ski crash trial brought on by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, who sued Paltrow for $300,000. Sanderson accused the actress of skiing “out of control” during a run at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah, USA.

The optometrist testified that Paltrow crashed into his back, leaving him with four broken ribs and a traumatic brain injury that has made him a “self-imposed recluse”.

However, jurors found that Sanderson was “100 percent” at fault in the crash and caused Paltrow harm.

Paltrow was awarded her symbolic $1 sum for her countersuit.
