He moaned that since the UK left the EU, it has “lost none of that bureaucracy, if anything we’ve actually increased it”.
He previously told Bloomberg: “Compared with doing business in any European country that I do business in, the UK is vastly more difficult. It doesn’t matter whether it’s employment, it doesn’t matter whether it’s health and safety. It doesn’t matter whether it’s regulation. It is a more difficult place to do business.
“We were promised that the government would tear up all these rules and make it easier. The reality is they’ve actually just put more rules in place. The employment rules in the UK compared with doing business in Germany, Norway, or Italy even, are just extraordinary. The first thing the Government needs to do is actually wake up and start pulling back some of the regulations that are there.”
