A main road in Merseyside has been closed after a teenage girl was struck by a car.
Merseyside Police received a call at 3.45pm following reports of a crash on Childwall Road in Wavertree.
They have since confirmed that a 15-year-old girl was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with a head injury.
She was reportedly still conscious.
The road has been closed in both directions and a number of police and ambulance vehicles are on the scene.
