GB News star announces he's been suspended by channel hours after backing Dan Wootton

GB News star Calvin Robinson has been suspended by the channel, he announced on social media.

Reverend Robinson’s response comes mere hours after he said on X, formerly Twitter, that he was backing Dan Wootton as pressure mounts to sack the presenter.

In a short post on the platform, the host of Calvin’s Common Sense Crusade wrote: “I have been suspended from GB News.”

The radio host and Anglo-Catholic Deacon earlier today warned that “it’s over” for the channel if Dan Wootton leaves.

Wootton is in hot water after Laurence Fox made vitriolic comments about journalist Ava Evans on Wootton’s show.

Fox made a series of remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe, including asking: “Who would want to s**g that?”

Express.co.uk has contacted GB News for comment.

Deacon Robinson said earlier: “I will not be appearing on Dan Wootton Tonight without Dan Wootton.”

He added: “Dan Wootton had a significant part to play in building GB News. He invited me along pre-launch, he also brought so many people on board.

“Behind the cameras as well as on-screen talent. Including the careerist ambitious ones who are currently gunning for his job. These people are worse than the woke mob, because these vultures are giving the mob ammunition and essentially escalating the channel’s demise.”
