Gary Neville raises Man Utd concerns after taking gambles as Dave Brailsford gets to work

United have been dismal under Erik ten Hag this season and sit seventh after nine Premier League defeats in the first half of the campaign. The Dutchman has overseen 14 losses across all competitions and some reports claim that INEOS will take a dim view of the performance of the club’s head coach.

Ten Hag’s job reportedly remains safe for now but a major improvement is required. The former Ajax boss may hope for some major improvements in January but INEOS will oversee their first transfer window in charge of the sporting operation at Old Trafford with a budget limited by Financial Fair Play regulations.

Defensive reinforcements could be the priority in the opening month of 2024. However, the biggest deals will need to wait until the summer.
