Gary Glitter demanded a poster of himself and an Xbox after being sent back to jail

The convicted paedophile Gary Glitter demanded a poster of himself after being sent back to jail.

Among his demands are an Xbox, a Longines watch, and designer clothes.

Glitter, 79, also reportedly wanted a copy of his own autobiography whilst he sits in his prison cell.

Glitter is being sent back to HMP The Verne on Portland Island in Dorset after breaching licence conditions.

A source told the Mirror: “It’s a disgrace this was allowed. He was recalled for utterly vile behaviour and is the most hated pervert in Britain.

“He’s a serial child abuser and this should not be happening.

“His poor victims would rather the belongings be burnt than transported at a cost to the taxpayer just in case he gets bored.”

Following the announcement of his demands, politicians have condemned the move.

Conservative MP Nigel Mills said it didn’t feel like a great use of time and effort.

In the past, Mr Glitter has also received a Diesel leather jacket, Levi jeans, a beanie, and a summer jacket.

He was also allegedly sent a copy of The Secret Barrister.

A source said that Glitter would have put serious thought into what he wanted.

They added that the list shows he is “very vain” and that his victims “would be horrified”.

Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, was jailed in 2015 for historic sex offences on three victims.

Two of his victims were aged 12 and 13 while the third was under the age of 10 when he tried to rape her.

Glitter was originally freed from prison in February but was recalled just 38 days later after photos showed him using a smartphone he was reportedly using to view eight-year-old girls in ballet clothes.

In a statement, the Prison Service said: “Prisoners’ access to possessions is strictly controlled and they face further punishment if they are found with an item that is not allowed.”
