Fury as Just Stop Oil mob block ambulances as they're dragged away by no-nonsense cops

A Just Stop Oil mob sparked fury with its latest protest after eco-zealots blocked ambulances from passing.

Met Police swiftly dragged the protesters out of the road in Whitehall, London, this morning (Friday, November 17), before issuing a damning statement.

It’s understood that a number of arrests have been made after 18 protesters set out from Trafalgar Square.

Pictures and videos circulating online show the members of the mob dressed in the familiar bright orange hi-vis vests carrying placards in the latest slow march.

They are seen lying down in the road and refusing to move, before no-nonsense cops turf them out of the way.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “We are arresting Just Stop Oil activists causing disruption in Whitehall. These arrests are being made swiftly so we can release the traffic, which includes an ambulance.”

They added moments later: “Officers have arrested all of the activists slow marching in Whitehall. Another ambulance, which is on blue lights, is stuck in the disruption this slow march has caused.”

This sparked fury online, with many taking to X, formerly Twitter, to express their outrage.

One person raged: “Trying to cause the death of another person here. Shameful.”

Another said: “Just Stop Oil putting peoples lives at risk again by stopping ambulances. So cruel, so pointless.”

Just Stop Oil posted videos of the latest protest online, adding that another will take place from 12pm in Trafalgar Square on Saturday.

It comes after the group were made a laughing stock by police on Tuesday, when their march was foiled by police in just 11 minutes.

The eco-mob were marching from Oval down Kenning Park Road in south London and had only just set out when several arrests were made.
