Flabbergasted police discover little lamb in car filled with £10K of cocaine and heroin

Police were left gobsmacked after they found a little lamb bleating away inside a car carrying £10,000-worth of cocaine and heroin. The bizarre farmyard passenger was found when officers stopped a vehicle on a motorway near Glasgow on Monday. As this photograph shows the baby sheep was alive and well in the back seat of the car when detectives stopped the suspected drug offenders on the M74.

The woolly interloper was allowed to go on its way and is now in the care of a local farmer, Police Scotland said. Three people have since been arrested for drugs offences.

Another animal, Billy the police drugs dog, helped officers find £3,000 of cocaine and a stash of heroin with an estimated street value of £7,000.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Two men, aged 52 and 53, and one woman, aged 38, were arrested and charged with drugs offences.

“They have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Road Policing Scotland also posted about the incident on social media, saying: “Oh ewe! Officers from #GlasgowRP stopped this vehicle (not a Lamborghini!) on the #M74 J3 NB yesterday.

“In addition to this wee fella roughly £10k in Class A drugs were recovered with assistance from @PSOSDogs. Driver further arrested for failing the roadside swap for cocaine.

“The lamb has been taken in by a local farmer and enquiries are continuing to establish how the lamb ended up in the car. #PDBilly was instrumental in finding the drugs in this car.”
