Feral yobs ransack Aldi and terrorise staff in little UK seaside town

An Aldi store has been forced to ramp up security measures after staff were reportedly abused and alcohol was stolen by a gang of unruly teenagers. The incident took place in Dunbar Road, North Berwick on Thursday, April 25.

It saw a group of around 10 12 to 16 year olds enter the store, verbally abuse staff and steal alcohol, reports Edinburgh Live.

Witnesses described the teens as acting aggressively towards the employees. Aldi has since stated that they are treating the incident seriously and have implemented security measures to ensure the safety of their staff.

A spokesperson for Aldi said: “Our colleagues have a right to work in a safe and secure environment, which is why we take incidents like this very seriously. We have a series of measures in place to keep our colleagues and customers safe and will not tolerate any form of abuse.”

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
