FBI raids Russian businessmen's apartment at Trump Towers in Florida

The FBI has reportedly raided a condo owned by two Russian businessmen at Trump Towers in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

The Miami Herald reports an FBI unit raided a condo that was owned by businessmen Oleg Sergeyevich Patsulya and Agunda Konstantinova Makeeva’s shell company MIC-USA.

In a statement to the paper, a spokesperson for the FBI’s Miami field office only said it was “conducting court-ordered law enforcement activity in the vicinity of that location”.

Former president Donald Trump licensed his name to the three luxury high-rise condos in the years before he took office.

Property records from the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser say MIC-USA bought their 41st-story, three-bedroom condo in 2013 for $1.65 million (£1.3million).

Roza Pereira, listed on the corporate paperwork for the company and married to Patsulya, told the New York Post: “I can’t talk about it.

“The lawyer [for my husband] said not to talk to anyone. … I have no idea what it’s about.”
