Fans spot new blow as 'Meghan Markle's mouthpiece' backs Princess Kate in latest choice

An American magazine that’s been dubbed Meghan Markle’s “mouthpiece” released its January 2024 cover featuring Princess Kate, and royal fans had one thing to say.

People magazine unveiled its newest cover featuring a picture of the Princess of Wales during her visit to the Grange Pavilion in Cardiff back in October. Royal fans seemed to notice and took to social media to express their opinion.

They claimed it’s “hilarious” the magazine, which they labelled the Duchess of Sussex’s “mouthpiece” always uses Princess Kate on its cover but doesn’t do as often with Meghan. They also branded Princess Kate a “popular star”, a “fashion icon” and the original “It girl”.

One user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “They know an old Picture of Catherine will still sell better than a new pic of Meg”.

Another one said: “It’s because Megs is on the downward spiral of popularity. Her days are numbered. The magazine knows this and needs to keep in with popular opinion. That, plus the fact that Catherine is a stunningly beautiful lady.”

Some of them even compared the two women, with one claiming: “It’s very ironic that Kate is popular for being herself; whilst, Meg tries too hard to be Diana 2.0.

“Kate is more likable b/c she is more approachable. Kate is more relatable b/c she is not trying to go Hollywood. Kate is more respectable b/c she ignores the drama.” Another one added: “People know where the money is.

“A cover of Catherine sells, I doubt the same for Meghan.” It comes after a royal expert claimed earlier this month that Omid Scobie’s book Endgame won’t damage Princess Kate “in the slightest” because she’s “full of grace”.

But, team Sussex is “full of hate”. Scobie’s bombshell book was released in November and unleashed a series of explosive claims against the Firm.

But broadcaster and former royal editor Camilla Tominey said: “the mystique that surrounds Kate, unlike Meghan Markle, means no attack will stick, because all anyone sees of the Princess is her public service.”
