Famous ex-gangster turned author has died at the age of 64 after he ‘shot himself’ at his London home.
The East End hardman was found dead at his home in Plumstead, south east London on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement on his official social media accounts, a spokesman confirmed he shot himself, MailOnline reports.
The Metropolitan Police said officers attended the property on Chestnut Rise, and confirmed he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation. No arrests have been made and his family has been informed.
