Family of woman whose body was paraded naked by Hamas 'crashed' when they saw 'brutality'

The family of Shani Louk is in mourning after the young woman was abducted and murdered by Hamas terrorists.

Shani’s brother, Amit Louk, expressed his family’s deep sorrow, saying that their world came “crashing down” when they witnessed the horrifying sight of Shani being paraded by the terrorists on a truck.

In the video, she appeared motionless and partially naked, surrounded by terrorists who treated her with utter disrespect.

The last contact Amit had with Shani was a frantic phone call during which she tried to escape the Nova electronic festival near Kibbutz Re’im.

Hamas gunmen were targeting anyone they encountered, and Shani assured her brother that they were leaving immediately.

Unfortunately, the terrorists were lying in wait on the road, and within minutes of their attempted escape, they shot at Shani’s vehicle, instantly killing her.

The family’s worst fears were confirmed when they saw the distressing video footage, showing Shani’s lifeless body in the back of a truck, surrounded by terrorists and a jeering crowd who spat on her.

Amit expressed his disbelief and the immense pain his family experienced upon witnessing such brutality. He said that his sister was treated as if she meant nothing to the terrorists.

He told Sky News: “I never thought I was going to be in contact with this type of video, seeing my sister in that brutal position.

“And just in that moment, the whole family just crashed for a few weeks.

“It was so hard to actually see this brutality. Even though we know [Hamas] can reach this level of non-humanity, they just spat on her and treated her like she was nothing.”

Despite the overwhelming grief, Amit stressed that he did not want to harbour hatred, as he believed it would only continue a cycle of hate.

The family held onto a glimmer of hope that Shani might have survived and been taken to a hospital in Hamas-controlled Gaza. However, after three agonising weeks of waiting, their hopes were shattered when Israeli soldiers delivered the devastating news that fragments of Shani’s skull had been found. She was among the 270 people who lost their lives in the massacre.
