Toto Wolff has told Lewis Hamilton exactly what he wants to hear after the seven-time world champion complained that he took ‘nothing’ from the 2023 season and appeared skeptical that the team could produce a competitive car next year.
Hamilton’s downbeat comments came after he took P9 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Wolff admits that the Silver Arrows’ approach ‘did not work’, claiming that their 2024 F1 car should boost the Brit’s chances of catching Max Verstappen.
“Next year’s car is going to be more conventional in what you would expect from a Formula 1 car,” said the team principal. “But there are a few interesting details that we have not seen on other cars yet.”
