Excited Mia Tindall cheers on the racing at New Year's Day outing with cousins

Zara and Mike Tindall’s daughter, Mia, looked every inch excited as she attended the Cheltenham Racecourse on New Year’s Day.

The nine-year-old was joined by her sister, five-year-old Lena and cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips, daughters of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly as they appeared on the balcony.

Mia looked like the spitting image of her mother as she concentrated on the races, clutching a race card. Her cousins could also be seen holding racecards whilst cheering from the balcony.

According to Mike, Mia loves horseriding with him and she regularly rides with Savannah and Isla.

He previously said: “I love that they have the opportunity of working with animals, being outside, all the traditions that you learn with treating an animal – looking after your stuff, looking after the animals and learning good balance, all those skills you learn – but I think Mia will probably want to do her own thing anyway.”

The outing comes a week after the Royal Family spent Christmas together at Sandringham. The royals attended Christmas mass at St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas morning.

Mia was pictured with her other cousins, Prince Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Zara’s daughter took to the front of the procession, holding Louis’s hands while walking towards the church.

Lena was seen a bit further behind holding hands with her parents. Their brother Lucas, two, stayed at home.

Mia and Lena are known to be very close with Prince William and Princess Kate’s children and regularly spend time together.
