Ex-Israeli general says his 'heart bleeds for Palestinians' and slams Netanyahu's policies

A former Israeli Defense Force (IDF) general has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his role in the crisis as it goes to war with Hamas.

Hamas terrorists launched an incursion into Israel earlier this month, killing 13,000 civilians and taking 199 hostages back to Gaza.

This was seen as a big security failure on behalf of the Israeli state and has placed significant political pressure on Netanyahu.

In response to the attack, Israel has bombarded Gaza, killing 2,600 civilians.

A siege has also been implemented, leaving Gazans trapped without water, food, power, and other basic resources.
