Evacuations hit two major London Underground stations just minutes apart


Two London Underground stations have been evacuated with reports online of possible emergencies. Travellers were told to leave Green Park Tube station at about 1.15pm on Saturday (February 17) with Brixton station closed about 45 minutes earlier.

Transport for London (TfL) wrote on X that Green Park Station was closed while staff dealt with a fire alert and tickets would be accepted on London buses.

According to MyLondon, Brixton was also evacuated. 

TfL, London Fire Brigade and British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
