Emotional reason Prince Harry 'feels guilty' skiing as he's seen on slopes with Meghan

Prince Harry confessed that he always felt guilty for enjoying ski trips with his dad, Prince Charles, because his mum, Princess Diana, didn’t like them. He felt like a “bad son” for having fun on these trips.

In his book ‘Spare’, Harry shared that he was often overwhelmed by emotions and questions when he thought of his mum during these ski trips.

He worried that he was being unfair to her by enjoying something she didn’t like.

Harry also revealed a touching moment from a ski trip with his ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas. He said that skiing held a special place in their relationship.

He then remembered the “miraculous” moment she got him to talk about his mum, Princess Diana.

Harry and Cressida were just chatting at their chalet when he said: “Suddenly she asked about my mother. I answered her, straight-out, and then started to cry.”

It seems like Prince Harry has now overcome his guilt about skiing, thanks to his wife Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex was seen cheering on her husband on Wednesday as he tried out some adaptive skis at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go celebrations.

Meghan was seen clapping and smiling from the side-lines as Harry zoomed down the slopes.

Meghan has previously said that she wants her children to follow in Harry’s footsteps and develop a love for skiing.

Bridget Bridge, the wife of an IG25 board member, previously told The Mirror: “Meghan said that she really wanted her children to learn to ski and that maybe Whistler was the ideal place.

“She said she didn’t ski, so we told her they must come and learn.”

The trip comes after the former Suits actress paid a sweet tribute to Harry’s mum.

Meghan was pictured wearing Diana’s £18,000 Cartier watch in a photo on the Sussexes brand new website.

Diana had been pictured wearing the watch on a number of occasions.
