Emergency as plane from Sydney turned round after 'unruly passenger makes threats'

A Malaysia Airlines flight, MH122, bound for Kuala Lumpur, found itself making an unexpected turnaround back to Sydney International Airport following an incident involving a disruptive passenger. The individual reportedly made references to Islam, prompting the decision to divert the aircraft.

The Airbus A330, on its way to its intended destination, was redirected back to Sydney, where it was safely isolated on the tarmac. Responding to the situation, Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers were called to the scene to address the matter.

A video taken within the aircraft captures a passenger engaged in a conversation with a member of the flight crew, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

In the video, the man is heard telling a member of the crew: “My name is Mohammed, slave of Allah.

“Are you a slave of Allah? Are you? Say it. Say it! Are you a slave of Allah?”

That flight attendant can then be heard replying: “Yes I am”.
