Donald Trump will 'release the January 6 political prisoners' on day one, says ex-aide

A pardon for the “political prisoners” of January 6 will be among Donald Trump’s top priorities on the first day of a second Presidency should he win in November.

Former White House aide Dr Sebastian Gauke said there will be “hundreds of executive orders” on the first day in a bid to immediately undo the Joe Biden legacy and start again by restoring America’s economy.

He said: “We flick the switch back on everything that they [the Biden administration] have destroyed in the last three years.

“So you know, the 93 executive orders on the open border, the killing of oil exploration and fracking. All of that gets flicked back on day one.

“I mean, we are prepping hundreds and hundreds of executive orders to drop within the first 24 hours. So everything that worked back then ceding the border energy independence, crushing our enemies like ISIS, revitalising our alliances like NATO, all of that gets flicked back.”

But he made it clear that he believes Trump wants to right other wrongs. This includes the treatment of the people caught up in the January 6 protests in 2020 which have been framed as “an insurrection”.

Gorka spoke to the Daily Express US at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington DC where Donald Trump is due to address an expectant crowd tomorrow.

All through CPAC have been campaign stalls raising money for the people convicted of crimes as a result of the January 6 occupation of Capitol Hill with many raising money for legal defences.

Gorka said: “We have this whole new panoply of things we have to fix. We can’t have political prisoners, like we do today who have been in solitary for two years after January 6.

“We can’t have you know, judges who campaign on putting the Leader of the Opposition (Trump) in prison, so we have to look at some kind of judicial reform.”

The pursuit of Trump by law enforcers at the FBI could also have long-term consequences.

Gorka said: “I don’t think the FBI is salvageable. I think the FBI has to be broken up and its key missions handed over to existing agencies like the US Marshals and Defence Intelligence. So we have to have a real factor back to law and order principles equality before the law.”

But the biggest issue will be fixing the southern border with Mexico and removing millions of illegal immigrants.

“The biggest technical challenge is going to be what we do with at least 8 million illegals that we know that have been led into the country in the last three.

“I mean, I know that the UK has its issues with the small boat migrants, but it’s not 8 million in three years.

“I’ve done the math, the mathematics at least 14 million illegals, who the Democrats wished to give amnesty and naturalise and make their new electoral base. We have to deport them one by one. If you came into the nation illegally, you have no right to stay here.”
