Donald Trump slams Joe Biden after NO Americans freed in Hamas-Israel hostage deal

Donald Trump has lambasted Joe Biden after no Americans were freed in the second day of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The ceasefire went into effect at 7am local time on Friday, and since then 41 of the 240 hostages have been released.

On Friday, 13 Israeli women and children, 10 Thai citizens and one Filipino were freed.

On Saturday, 13 Israelis – including nine-year-old Emily Hand – and four Thais were released by the terrorists.

It came on a tense day, where at one point it looked like the deal may not pull through at all.

But when it did happen, Trump took to social media to point out that none of the three American hostages have yet been released.

He wrote: “Has anybody noticed that Hamas has returned people from other countries but, so far, has not returned one American Hostage?

“There is only one reason for that, NO RESPECT FOR OUR COUNTRY OR OUR LEADERSHIP. This is a very sad and dark period of America!

“Hamas now wants a better deal for hostages. This is not going to end well!”

It came after Hamas reportedly delayed the release citing its anger at the quality of aid arriving in Gaza.

Joe Biden, who is currently on the island of Nantucket for the Thanksgiving break, said on Saturday he hopes Americans will be among the next group to be freed.

Asked on Saturday whether there would be Americans, he replied: “Hopefully we’ll see something soon.”

Hopes remain that the two American women and one child – Abigail Edan, who was orphaned in the October 7 attack and turned four on Friday – could be released on Sunday or Monday.
