Donald Trump LIVE: Ex-president forced to cancel Iowa rally over tornado threat


Donald Trump was forced to cancel his latest rally over severe tornado threat, as multiple struck the US last night.

Set to take the stage in Des Moines, Iowa, Donald Trump told his supporters to stay home as multiple twisters were reported across the state.

“Unfortunately, due to the Tornado Warnings in Des Moines, we are forced to cancel today’s outdoor Rally at the Lauridsen Amphitheater,” the former President said own Truth Social.

“Stay tuned, we will reschedule soon. Be safe out there!”

Before the rally was officially canceled over the weather warning, over 5,000 people were expected to attend Trump’s rally.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning in the Des Moines area of Iowa on Saturday that was expected to stay in effect until at least 7pm local time.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was able to attend his events in the state despite the weather, but his speeches’ did not change much from previous remarks.
