Columnist E. Jean Carroll has threatened to sue Donald Trump over his appearance at CNN’s town hall, which she branded “vile” and “disgusting”.
It comes as Trump plans to appeal the verdict in the E Jean Carroll case after he was found liable for sexually abusing and defaming the columnist nearly 30 years ago.
During the town hall session, Trump brushed off accusations made by Ms Carroll, claiming “I never met her” and referring to her as a “whack job” at one point.
Speaking to The New York Times on Thursday morning, Ms Carroll said that the former President’s comments were “just stupid, it’s just disgusting, vile, foul, it wounds people”.
Her attorney, Roberta Kaplan, told the paper that “Everything’s on the table, obviously, and we have to give serious consideration to it”.
