Dog which looks exactly like Snoopy dubbed as pooch's real life doppelganger

A one-year-old dog has gone viral after social media users noticed that she was the “spitting image” of the infamous cartoon character Snoopy. The comparison was made by Instagram page DoodleDogsClub earlier this week, with the post garnering more than 1.4 million likes as of Friday.

Mini sheepadoodle Bayley, who has her own Instagram page with over 216,000 followers, was described as the “spitting image” of Charlie Brown’s pet Snoopy.

The internet has exploded over the comparison to the dog from the iconic “Peanuts” cartoon strip.

The pet, a cross between an Old English sheepdog and a miniature poodle, had already attracted the attention of hundreds of thousands of social media users for her fluffy white face, floppy black ears and round nose.

After the DoodleDogsClub Instagram page posted the cartoon Snoopy alongside Bayley, however, more than a million users fell in love with the dog.

“Meet @Bayley.Sheepadoodle, the spitting image of Snoopy! With those big ears and that button nose, Bayley is the perfect real-life version of our favourite cartoon dog,” read a post from Monday on the account.

Four days later, the post has amassed more than 1.4 million likes and continues to climb.

Though Bayley isn’t the same breed as Snoopy, who is famously a beagle, animal lovers across social media couldn’t help but gush over her.

Snoopy, a creation of cartoonist Charles Schulz who debuted in 1950, is one of the world’s most famous illustrated dogs. He’s also featured in “Peanuts” films and TV specials.

The pooch has notched up more than 25,000 followers on Instagram in the past day since the comparison post was made.

According to her page, she loves sipping on a “puppaccino” (a small cup filled with whipped cream made especially for dogs) from Starbucks.
