Dog dumped outside rescue centre 'changes colour' after incredible rescue transformation

Before and after photos show the incredible transformation of a neglected dog which “changed colour” after being rescued.

Oliver, a Shih Tzu/terrier cross, was found callously dumped outside Birmingham Dogs Home’s Wolverhampton rescue centre last month.

The poor pooch was discovered freezing cold, petrified and badly neglected with long, matted fur which was seemingly black and dark-brown.

But staff were left stunned when he emerged from a much-needed bath and groom, which took several hours, with a fluffy golden coat.

Oliver has since been provided with around-the-clock care and is now looking for a new home after making a remarkable recovery.

“We are hoping he will be adopted very soon.” A post on their Facebook page added: “He is very loving and gives us the biggest smile when we greet him!

“He is still very nervous, which is to be expected considering what he has been through, but he is a true delight to be around.

“He is now ready to start looking for his loving new home.”
