A Pennsylvania doctor is under arrest and charged with a series of crimes after she allegedly set fire to her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend’s grandmother’s home.
Dr. Amy Cohen, who comes from the tony Philadelphia suburb of Narbeth, was arrested and charged with criminal attempted-murder, arson, aggravated arson, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, ethnic intimidation, and stalking for the crime.
The trouble began on November 24, when an “intimidating” flier was left outside the home — located in Lower Merion Township, another tony Philadelphia suburb — of the victim, whose name has not been released to the public.

The flier reportedly contained language that authorities deemed “antisemitic,” though the contents of the flier weren’t released.
The threats were made against the woman’s granddaughters, and similar fliers were left at the homes of other family members in Montgomery County and Philadelphia.
Just about a week later, police returned to the elderly woman’s home after she’d installed security cameras to catch the offending stalker.
The cameras showed a woman believed to be Cohen trying to set fire to the woman’s house at approximately 1:30 in the morning on November 30.
Dr. Cohen also tried to spread the fire by dumping an accelerator on the burgeoning flame, but didn’t succeed in getting the fire past the porch of the elderly woman’s home.
It was then revealed that Cohen was once involved with the boyfriend of one of the elderly woman’s granddaughters, which may have prompted the motive for the fire.
Cohen was arrested on December 1, and arraigned on December 2.
She is currently being held in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5million cash bail.
