An eight-year-old boy has tragically died after being struck by a car in a quiet UK cul-de-sac. The devastating incident occurred around 4.30pm on Saturday, with police and air ambulance services rushing to the scene in Dilton Marhs, Wiltshire.
Despite their efforts, the young boy was pronounced dead at the scene. A man is currently being questioned by police, although it remains unclear whether there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
The boy’s family have been informed of the tragic news and are receiving support from a specialist officer. “Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
They added: “A man in his 30s is being interviewed, as is usual in these circumstances.”
