Devastating smoke cloud and flames fill sky after Russian gas store hit by huge explosion


A fire has broken out at a Russian gas store after it was hit by a huge explosion. The depot, in the southern city fo Angarsk, was hit by several explosions. The exact cause of the damage is not yet known.

In a video showing the aftermath of the explosions on Twitter, the main depot can be seen to be on fire.

Furthermore, several rail carriages carrying gasoline can also be seen wrapped in flames.

Thiis isn’t the first time an oil refinery in this region has been hit by flames.

Late last year, two people were people were killed last year by explosions at the plant.

The refinery in question is one of Russia’s top 10 with a production capacity of more than 200,000 barrels of oil per day.
