Dave Courtney had planned to take his own life months before, it was revealed.
Following an examination of the ex-gangster’s personal items, a video filmed in early July this year was discovered where Courtney outlined his plans to take his own life in his home.
He said he was in “sound mind and body” and that he didn’t take this decision lightly.
He was found at his home in Chestnut Rise, Plumstead, on Sunday, having reportedly shot himself.
The Metropolitan Police said the death is currently being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.
