Sky Sports Darts commentator Wayne Mardle described Luke Littler as “an absolute darting freak” after he sealed his place in the World Championship semi-finals.
Michael van Gerwen’s exit to Scott Williams has opened up the entire draw and Mardle has not seen anything like Littler before, with the teenager tipped to go all the way.
“There’s not enough words to express what he’s doing,” Mardle said. “16-year-olds don’t perform like this, they don’t act like him.
“He’s just so composed in his interviews, and he never gets carried away. You don’t chill before a World semi-final! He’s an absolute darting freak and that’s a word of endearment.”
