Dan Korski denies Tory ‘Jingle and Mingle’ party video leak came from him or his team

The Tory candidate for London mayor facing an allegation of groping from his time in No10 Downing Street has finally addressed another rumour doing the rounds in Westminster.

Daniel Korski sat down for an interview with the Express yesterday, in which he emphatically denied an allegation of groping made by TV producer Daisy Goodwin and said he welcomed an investigation in the knowledge he would be “entirely exonerated”.

He also addressed another rumour that his team was responsible for leaking the video of the Covid rule-breaking “jingle and mingle” party in CCHQ.

The video, published by the Mirror a fortnight ago, showed Tory aides partying while the rest of the country was banned from doing so.

Two of the individuals in the video now work for one of Mr Korski’s rivals for the Tory London mayoral candidacy, Mozammel ‘Moz’ Hossain.

Ben Mallett, who received an OBE from Boris Johnson and was Shaun Baillie’s campaign manager in the 2020 London mayoral election, has now taken on the same role for Mr Hossain.

He was filmed wearing braces and laughing with colleagues.

Another advisor to Mr Hossain who handles his media operations, Malin Bogue, was prominently filmed dancing so wildly with a male advisor she knocked over wine glasses.

A third attendee at the party, businessman Nick Candy, is also backing Mr Hossain and has been seen at fundraisers for his campaign.

Given the embarrassment to his key rival in the selection race, fingers have been pointed at Dan Korski as the source of the leak.

Yesterday he emphatically denied the allegations, however.

He told the Express: “I can absolutely tell you that video not come from me.”

“We have run a positive, uplifting campaign, I have had nothing to do with this video.”

“And you are the first person I have ever made any comment to about this, even though I have been approached repeatedly – repeatedly – for comment, and I noticed the third candidate coming in on this.”

“We have run a positive, uplifting campaign, I have had nothing to do with this video.”

He said such dirty tricks are “not the kind of campaign that I want to participate in”.

“I’m only interested in this kind of politics. I’m really interested in innovative, exciting solutions that can make London better. And I had nothing to do with that video.

“Nada, nyet.”

Mr Korski used the interview to warn Ms Goodwin that he plans on consulting his lawyers about the allegation of groping in Downing Street.
