Costo shoppers in the UK excited to buy chocolate nest cake that has returned for Easter


Costco shoppers in the United Kingdom are rushing to buy the company’s popular chocolate nest cake that has returned to some of the stores just in time for Easter weekend.

The cake looks like a bird’s nest made out of chocolate flakes, and is topped with candy-coated Easter eggs huddled in the middle, according to a photo posted on social media.

The cakes are sold for £11.99 ($15.14) and is available at UK’s Costco stores through its Kirkland Brand.

Social media users have commented on the return of the chocholate nest cake, with some saying that they’re eager to try it out.

A foodie who goes by “Newfoodsuk” shared an image of the chocolate nest cake on various social media platforms.

“Giant Choc Nest Cakes are back at Costco!!” Newfoodsuk wrote in Facebook and Instagram on Friday.

One commentator wrote in a humorous tone on Instagram: “Wrong week to start health eating.”

A Facebook user wrote: “Tastes amazing got one for my baby shower last week and the whole thing got dimolished in no time defo recommended.”

The Facebook post was met with 700 comments and more than 1,200 likes, while the Instagram post got nearly 1,300 likes.

The last time these cakes were spotted on shelves in the UK was three years ago, when “Newfoodsuk” posted about the treats on Facebook in March 2021.

There are 29 Costco stores in the United Kingdom, including in cities like London, Watford, Liverpool, and Birmingham.

Daily Express US has reached out to Costco to verify if these cakes are sold at stores in the United States.
