Conor McGregor hijacks Sydney Sweeney's Instagram post in bold move

Conor McGregor bizarrely promoted his own film on Sydney Sweeney’s Instagram post about her new film Immaculate set to release later this week. Sweeney has become a Hollywood A-lister this year, with the Euphoria star hitting the big screen for her performances in Anyone but You and Madame Web – with her third film releasing in the past four months set to see her in a different role where she will star as a nun.

And while promoting the film on Instagram to her 18.8 million followers, McGregor has cheekily promoted his upcoming debut film ‘Roadhouse’, which is set to be released the day before.

With an image of Sweeney at the film premiere, she posted on Instagram: “IMMACULATE march 22nd,” before McGregor posted: “@roadhousemovie March 21st.”

McGregor’s film will be his first acting role, with him set to star alongside Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze classic film ‘Road House’.

McGregor is set to have a prominent role in the film, as the main antagonist in a mixed martial arts film alongside Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior and singer Post Malone.

But fans weren’t too pleased with McGregor using Sweeney’s platform to promote his film, as one wrote: “Go promote that crap elsewhere,” while another said: “Weird, this ain’t the place to promote your film.”

McGregor himself as a huge following on social media, with a whopping 47.3 million followers – where he is regularly promoting the film after recording while recovering from his leg injury suffered to his loss to Dustin Poirier.

The Irishman is hoping to get back into the Octagon this summer, with him set to face Michael Chandler after the two coached The Ultimate Fighter last year.
