Christmas turkey 'ruined' LIVE: Supermarkets slammed as customers receive 'rancid' food

A number of British supermarkets have been slammed this morning after customers claimed that they had had ‘rancid’ Christmas turkeys delivered for their Christmas dinner.

Social media users vented their frustrations on X, formerly known as Twitter, after a number claimed to have received ‘rotten’ meat in their orders, while other people had their Christmas food substituted for other items.

Richard Piers Rayner wrote on X: “This is a bit of a blow. Bought a ‘fresh’ turkey (£53.00!) from the local Tesco superstore a couple of days ago.

“Just unwrapped it to prepare everything for tomorrow and it absolutely stinks. The meat is rotten. So…Christmas dinner? It’ll not be quite as we might have hoped.”
