Fears were sparked in London’s central shopping district after “three loud bangs” were heard.
Crowds could be seen gathering in confusion as police vehicles were spotted on Bond Street – with a controlled explosion reportedly being held nearby.
A suspect package was discovered, reportedly at the Dolce & Gabbana store.
The Metropolitan Police are understood to have raced to the scene before evacuating the store and cordoning off the area to ensure public safety.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told Express.co.uk: “Police were called at about 2.40pm on Tuesday, 28 November to reports of an unattended bag on Bond Street.
“Officers attended. A controlled explosion was carried out.
“The item has been declared non-suspicious.”
