Christian Horner 'may still be replaced' despite being cleared of allegations

Christian Horner was cleared of any wrongdoing by an independent barrister on Wednesday following a lengthy internal investigation into misconduct allegations. However, the Red Bull team principal’s position could reportedly still be under threat.

The internal investigation into the team boss became public knowledge at the start of February, but Horner continued to complete his duties, appearing at the RB20 car launch and in the garage during pre-season testing in Bahrain.

While Horner was cleared of any wrongdoing following a statement from Red Bull on Wednesday, the 50-year-old may still be looking over his shoulder heading into the opening round of the season in Bahrain.

According to a report from The Times, unnamed members of the Red Bull team are concerned about Horner’s position within the team, and changes to the leadership structure could still take place.
