China claimed that it detected 10 US spy balloons in it’s airspace in 2022, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesperson. Wang Wenbin told reporters it was “not uncommon” for the US to violate Chinese airspace using the devices.
“It’s not uncommon as well for the US to illegally enter the airspace of other countries,” said foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin.
He added: “Since last year alone, US balloons have illegally flown above China more than 10 times without any approval from Chinese authorities.”
