Evil child killer Roy Whiting has been stabbed in prison and left soaked in blood. The sick monster was jailed for a 40-year term in 2002 for the murder of eight-year-old Sarah Payne.
The Mirror reports he was knifed inside the maximum security HMP Wakefield, where he is serving his sentence. It is said that the 65-year-old was repeatedly stabbed and prison guards had to race to his rescue following the incident this weekend.
However, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A source told the publication: “Whiting is hated in prison. He was stabbed and was covered in blood. They were trying to kill him.”
This is not the first time that Whiting has been set upon whilst inside the Category A jail, which houses 600 of the UK’s most dangerous criminals.
In 2002, murderer Rickie Tregaskis slashed Whiting on his right cheek using a razor blade, leaving the paedophile with a 6-inch scar.
Nine years after that, double killer Gary Vinter, 53, managed to get into Whiting’s cell and stab him in both eyes using a sharpened toilet brush handle.
Vinter later told a court that he attacked Whiting because he was a “dirty little nonce”. During the violent incident, the tip of the improvised weapon snapped and left a piece of broken plastic in his eye socket.
