The Champions League quarter-final draw is upon us – and two Premier League teams are in the pot today as UEFA decide the last eight. Their potential routes to the final will also be mapped out.
Arsenal secured their spot in this round of the competition for the first time since 2009-10 courtesy of beating Porto on penalties on Tuesday night. The Gunners have never won the European Cup.
Neither had their Premier League title rivals Manchester City before last season. They beat Inter Milan in last year’s final as they won the treble. They cruised past Copenhagen in this year’s round of 16.
And it is a heavyweight quarter-final draw with 14-time winners Real Madrid, six-time holders Bayern Munich and five-time champions Barcelona all in the pot.
They are joined by 1997 winners Borussia Dortmund as well as Atletico Madrid and PSG, both still looking to lift the Champions League for the first time.
