CBB fans left disappointed as Kate Middleton's family fails to support Gary

Gary Goldsmith was the first celebrity to be evicted from the Big Brother house and close members of his family were there to welcome the self-confessed “Buncle – Bad uncle” after he left the infamous house.

The self-made millionaire had been questioned on the whereabouts of his niece, The Princess Of Wales by fellow housemates like Ekin-Su and Fern Britton during his time on the ITV show.

After the live show presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best, he was taken to the studio for an exclusive interview on Big Brother: Late and Live but some viewers were disappointed they didn’t spot any royals in the audience.

Gary’s wife Julianne and daughter Tallulah – Princess Catherine’s first cousin – were present to welcome him after leaving the house.

They took to X – formerly known as Twitter – as one fan posted: “Gary we’ve got your family here!’ Everyone expecting it to be Kate,” alongside artwork of a cat with a deadpan expression.

Another asked: “‘Gary we’ve got your family here’ KATE ????? #cbbuk.”

A third commented: “When they said they’ve got Gary’s family there why did I expect Kate Middleton to be sitting in the Late and Live audience #CBB #CBBUK.”

“‘We’ve got your family here, Gary’ Me looking for Kate #CBBUK,” noted a fourth person along with a picture of a woman with an exasperated expression.

Kate has largely been out of the spotlight as the Princess of Wales recovers from abdominal surgery.

Kensington Palace originally specified that the royal was not expected to return to public duties until after Easter.

They reaffirmed Kate’s recovery timeline through a statement: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”

The businessman turned reality star was the first housemate to be evicted in Celebrity Big Brother. He faced Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Lauren Simon in the public vote.
