Captain Tom’s family hit back at attacks: 'They were going to come and kill us all'

Captain Tom Moore’s family have hit back at attacks as they open up about death threats they have received in recent years.

The late war hero made international headlines in April 2020 when he raised money for charity in the run-up to his 100th birthday during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a preview of Thursday’s episode of Piers Morgan’s Uncensored, the broadcaster quizzes his family over the controversy that has surrounded the charity set up since his death.

The controversial TV presenter asks Tom Moore’s daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore whether she had any qualms about being paid for public donations.

In a short clip, she reveals: “They were all discussing how they were going to come and kill us all.”

Piers Morgan can be heard asking her: “Did you feel any qualms being paid from public donations?”

Captain Tom Moore’s daughter received a salary of more than £63,000 while acting as the CEO of the charity, while it was revealed by a watchdog that donations slumped at the same time.

The foundation was set up after the World War Two veteran raised £38m for the NHS during the height of the pandemic by walking 100 laps of his garden in Bedfordshire.
