Captain Tom £200k spa cleared of memorabilia as it is set to demolished in days

New pictures show Captain Sir Tom Moore’s awards and memorabilia being removed from Captain Tom’s daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore’s £200k spa, just days before it is due to be torn down.

Movers can be seen carrying Captain Tom’s Guinness World Record certificate and a BBC Sports Personality of the Year award out of the shed.

This morning Ms Ingram-Moore could be seen looking disappointed at her home in Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire as trollies were used to cart away items from the development.

Planning officials ordered the spa was demolished after it was built in a design which did not have planning permission at the £1.2m mansion.

Captain Tom’s daughter and her husband were given a six-week timeframe to try and save the “unauthorised” building following a court case in October, but the judicial review deadline has now passed – and it appears the family did not launch an appeal during that period.

The Planning Inspectorate previously ruled the building would have to be come down in three months as it was built illegally at their £1.2million mansion.
