Camilla is perfect example of a good divorce, as King extends Coronation invite to her ex

It was reported last week, that Andrew will be present at the King’s Coronation on May 6.

The 83-year-old will witness his ex-wife getting crowned at Westminster Abbey, alongside King Charles III.

Writing in an op-ed for the Daily Mail, former Tory minister Nadine Dorries has she was overcome with “joy” when she read that Andrew would be attending the Coronation.

Praising the former couple, she claimed that – especially when children are involved – a former spouse will “always be a part of your life”.

She added that Andrew attending the historic event will be a “moment of pride” for him.

Dorries wrote in her piece that the Queen’s close friend, the Marchioness of Lansdowne, claimed that Andrew “will ring her up and tell her when she’s got something wrong” and that in return Camilla will ring him up and “tell him that he’s misbehaving”.

The MP added: “In the many years that have passed since their own separation, Camilla and Andrew have set a positive example not just for to their children, but to the whole country.”

She added that they have “shown that it is possible to live in relative harmony after divorce”.

Dorries concluded: “Nothing will make that point clearer than for Andrew to be at the Coronation, bursting with pride.”

Three of the former couple’s grandchildren will hold a key role at their step-grandfather and grandmother’s Coronation next month.

A friend of Andrew’s recently spoke to the Times, claiming that Andrew “was always, and still is, Camilla’s co-conspirator”.

Prior to his marriage to Camilla, Andrew once dated Princess Anne.

Despite their fleeting romance, Andrew remains close with Anne. The pair have often been spotted at Royal Ascot together.

Andrew was also a guest at Camilla’s wedding to King Charles III in April 2005.
