Butlin's holidaymaker wins staggering 27,000 tickets on a single arcade machine

Dad Philly Jones won a staggering 27,000 arcade tickets on a single machine during a recent Butlin’s holiday.

Philly, from Birkenhead, was on holiday with his family in Skegness when he decided to flex his arcade gaming machine skills. He then began playing the candy drop ball machine on Monday, October 9.

Philly then started to win game after game, taking him until the Wednesday lunctime to rack up an amazing 27,890 tickets, reports LincolnshireLive. He says he won the tickets for his two sons, as well as a child who was celebrating his third birthday at the seaside holiday resort.

Wife Rachel was surprised to see how many tickets her husband had won. Especially when he had to use a bedsheet to transport them through the site.

She said: “I was shocked at the sheer scale of tickets, but not that he was winning, because he is really good at arcade games. A number of staff inside the arcade saw him as they had to keep coming over to refill the tickets for him.”

Rachel says the children spent the tickets on a range of items, including plushies, board games, Transformer figures, squishies and light up toys.
