'Burning families in homes': Israeli military chief reveals sick Hamas plot

Hamas terrorists were sent to Israel with orders to burn families alive in their homes, rape women and kidnap children as young as three years old, an Israeli Defence Force spokesperson has claimed.

The brutal terror attack on October 7 saw 1,400 Israeli civilians killed and 222 taken as hostages.

Now, IDF Southern Command, Major General Michael Edelstein, has described chilling acts of violence carried out by Hamas terrorists during their invasion.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Edelstein said: “They came with orders to slaughter, to burn citizens. Not military personnel. They were looking for families in some of the Kibbutz.

“I have firsthand evidence that they decided to burn families within their homes.

“On the other hand, they took hostages alive. For example, in one Kibbutz they were aiming to take over a dozen three-year-old kids to Gaza.

“Orders were there on how to kill, how many to kill, and how many to take as hostages. Orders were there to rape.

“It was not something that just happened. All was written and ordered for them.”

His comments come as Israeli government spokesperson, Eylon Levy, announces that Israel will be showing journalists footage of Hamas’s violence on October 7.

He said this would be shown to display the “barbarity perpetrated” by the terror group.

IDF spokesperson, Daniel Figari, has also accused Hamas of “exploiting civilians and civilian sites such as kindergartens, schools, and mosques for the purpose of firing rockets at Israel”. He said: “Hamas deliberately fires its rockets at Israeli civilians.”

Israeli has responded to the Hamas attack with heavy bombardment of Gaza, killing 5,000 civilians according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

There is also widespread international concern as Palestinians have been cut off from food and water.

UN humanitarian aid has been allowed into the enclave, but Gaza remains desperately short on basic supplies like food and medicine.
